Fort Minor
I Fort Minor è una band americana avviata dal progetto di Mike Shinoda, il rapper principale dei Linkin Park.
Verso la fine del 2004, Shinoda decise di realizzare un disco hip hop fuori dal suo gruppo principale.
Il progetto si chiama Fort Minor, per due motivi: da una parte perché Shinoda non è il solo a contribuirvi; dall’altra, per esprimere la dinamica fra due caratteri opposti, serio e impegnato da una parte (Fort, che significa fortezza, è usato con valore militante) e leggero e malinconico dall’altra (Minor).
Insieme a Shinoda collaborano nei FM:
- Black Thought, vocalist del gruppo hip hop di Filadelfia The Roots;
- Lupe Fiasco, esponente della scena hip hop di Chicago;
- Common, influente rapper della scena underground, che suona un genere ibrido di rap e jazz;
- Kenna, rapper di origine etiope;
- John Legend, pianista ed esponente della scena neosoul;
- Jay-Z, rapper e produttore tra i più in vista del genere hip hop, titolare della Roc-a-Fella Records;
- Styles Of Beyond, duo hip hop di Los Angeles con ampia discografia underground;
- Holly Brook;
- Ghostface Killah dei Wu-Tang Clan;
- Eric Bobo dei Cypress Hill;
- Jonah Matranga, chitarrista del gruppo emocore Far, tra quelli che più hanno influenzato lo stile dei Linkin Park;
- Brad Delson, chitarrista dei Linkin;
- Joseph Hahn, dj dei Linkin.
Il primo risultato del progetto è il singolo “Petrified”, pubblicato a fine ottobre 2005 nei soli Stati Uniti; il 22 novembre dello stesso anno, esce l’album di debutto col titolo The Rising Tied, 
prodotto da Jay-Z e da Shinoda stesso. Nell’album, Shinoda ha scritto ogni traccia e suonato ogni strumento.
“Believe Me” è il secondo singolo estratto dal disco dopo “Petrified”, e il primo uscito sia negli USA che oltre i suoi confini: è un brano orecchiabile che mescola elettronica e rock classico al rap. Oltre a “Petrified” e “Believe Me”, gli altri singoli dell’album sono “Remember The Name” e “Where’d You Go?”.

Leave Out All The Rest” è il nuovo singolo dei Linkin Park, riprodotto per la prima volta in Italia il 2 Giugno 2008. Quest’ultima traccia riprodotta dalla band si trova nell’ultimo album (per ora è l’ultimo album) Minutes to Midnight. Qui sotto vi è ripotortato il lyrics della cnzone.
